Chris Timmons is a trial attorney who helps litigators try cases, often at the last minute. Chris has tried more than 100 cases to judges and juries in federal and state courts, which is ten times more experience than even the most accomplished business litigators. Chris’s appearance in a case can turn an imminent trial loss into a favorable settlement or a victory at trial with an award of attorney’s fees.
Chris is a frequent commentator in the national and international media on issues related to trial practice and RICO. He is an ABC News legal contributor and has appeared on various networks, including CBS, PBS, NPR, CNN, CBC, ARD and BBC. Among other notable publications, Chris has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Rolling Stone and The Washington Post.
For the past 14 years, Chris has also been an adjunct law professor at the Georgia State University College of Law, teaching Trial Advocacy and Jury Selection Courses. He is on the Executive Committee of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta and a Master in the Bleckley Inn of Court.
Prior to joining Knowles Gallant Timmons, Chris served as a Georgia prosecutor for over 17 years in DeKalb and Cobb Counties. Chris was also a litigation associate for five years at King & Spalding in Atlanta and Taft, Stettinius, & Hollister in Cincinnati.
Chris lives in the Candler Park neighborhood of Atlanta with his wife, GSU Law Professor Kelly Timmons, and their two daughters.
